SYNOPSIS

The series depicts a fictional Xianxia world where humans attempts to cultivate to a state of immortality (Xian  仙). Wei Wuxian because of some tragedies deviated from this and turn to demonic path called Mo Dao. His powers was feared by the world for the unorthodox cultivation path that he took. That lead to the cultivation clans to overpower him and he is killed by his closest ally.

Thirteen years later, Wei Wuxian is reincarnated in the body of a lunatic called Mo Xuanyu 莫玄羽 who was rejected by his clan and despised by his own family.

He later reunited with Lan Wangji, a former classmate of his. Now the pair will embark on a journey that will lead them to supernatural mystery where they will be fighting off demons, ghost, and other cultivators. In the end, they will unravel the truth behind the cause of all the deaths including Wei Wuxian's death.

Mo Dao Zu Shi follows these two men on their mission to unravel the mysteries of the spiritual world. Fighting demons, ghosts, and even other cultivators, the two end up forming a bond that neither of them had ever expected.
