Goo Hara, a popular female kpop singer was found dead around 6pm (local time-Sunday) in her affluent Cheongdam-dong home in Seoul, South Korea. The Gangnam police is still investigating the tragic event. The beautiful and talented artist was a former "Kara" band member. This adds to the tragedy as her best friend Sulli (25 years old) also committed suicide the previous month. Sulli was bullied by online bullies and she committed suicide . Hara also had another good friend kill himself last December, an artist Kim Jong-Hyun, a male kpop artist in the boy band "Shinee." These three lovely artists suffered from severe depression.

Goo Hara's depression was further deepened not only by the deaths of her two best friends, but was further compounded by an abusive ex-boyfriend, who in 2018 beat her physically; at one time he beat her so badly that she called police to arrest him. Despite being arrested, the ex-boyfriend threatened to leak intimate videos he took of himself and Goo Hara, which taxed her already fragile mental state even further.

After completing her comeback concert in Japan on November, she made a post on her Instagram account, her fans unaware that it would be her last. It was in fact Goo Hara bidding her fans goodbye, saying nothing more than "Good Night" on her account. This world has lost another beautiful person who will always be remembered and loved in our heart. There is an extra bright and pretty star shinning up above us today. RIP
