SYNOPSIS

Ichito Kurihara is a physician at a small hospital in Nagano Prefecture that is short on doctors leaving him to cover many specialities and having to work as many as three days in a row without sleep. Only with the support of his wife Haru can he maintain this busy pace. Soon he finds himself facing a difficult decision when his graduating university hospital makes him an enticing employment offer. The position would allow him more time with Haru and to learn cutting-edge techniques and other medical advances. But can he abandon his current patients, all of whom were turned away by the university hospitals, declaring that nothing more could be done for them?
