SYNOPSIS

There are mysterious legends about the "imperial hunters" circulating among the people of Northeast China. It is said that the hunters have lived in the mountains for generations to protect the vitality of the piece of land in Xing'an Ling for the sake of the emperor. In addition to being skilled hunters, they are also proficient in the art of exorcism.

There has been a gruesome massacre in a remote village. Hearing the plea of the villagers, Liu Erye (Shang Tielong) who represents the last generation of the imperial hunters decides to begin his investigation in search of the truth. He comes upon strange occurrences as the secrets of the old forest are gradually revealed.
