SYNOPSIS

Chang Ming, a female police officer of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, is a negotiator expert. In a hijacking case with guns, Chang Ming rescued many hostages, but accidentally caused a colleague to be injured and blind. She also suffered some brain injuries that resulted in some  mental issues.

She took over the work of the deputy captain of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the sub-bureau. Chang Ming kept her depression and bipolar disorder a secret, and led a group of rebellious male policemen to solve difficult and miscellaneous cases while maintaining the relationship between "out of control" and "balance".

These police colleagues are also faced with the hard balance between family and work. They all want work as a good team, family members, and  friends outside of their police status. Chang Ming relies on "empathy" to understand and trust each other with this group of elders. On the other hand, the psychiatrist Pei Jiashu is the only one who really understands Chang Ming's condition, trying to pull her into the "abyss" of the dark side of human nature. But in the end his plot failed. Chang Ming accepted the pain in her heart and reconciled with it, striving to become a better self and a better policewoman.
