ABOUT

SpeXial is an all male Taiwanese boy band formed by Comic International Productions in 2012. SpeXial's name is a combination of “extra” and “special”, which expresses the desire of the group to be unique and special. This boy band debuted on December 7, 2012 with four members with the album ‘SpeXial’.  SpeXial started with four members (Hong Zheng ,WeiJin , Ming-jie and Zi​​Hong ) then Simon , Evan and Teddy joined the group in 2014; 2015 Riley, Win & Ian joined and in 2016 Dyaln & ZhiWei came in. There are currently eight members (Wayne, Brent, Sam, Evan, Teddy, Win, Ian and Dylan) active in SpeXial.

TRIVIA

-Simon was the first member to leave Spexial on February 2, 2017, because he wasn't receiving enough salary.
-Zhiwei officially left the group on March 23, 2017.
-Riley announced that he will terminate contract with the company to focus on different career goals & officially left the group on August 25, 2017.
-Wes left Spexial in 2018, leaving the group leaderless. His contract had expired and didn't renew it because of his leg injury.
-Wayne's and Teddy's contract also expired in 2019 and focused on their solo activities. 
-Sam, Simon, Brent, Wes, Wayne had committed themselves on the Military services. 

Fandom Name: SXF, which represents “Special Mission” (Chinese: 特使), which represents "Special Mission".
On May 21–22, 2016, SpeXial held their first major concert "SpeXial the 1st concert - SpeXial Land 2016" at Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, with a guest appearance by Pets Tseng.
