Michael Tao

Michael Tao Dai Yu (陶大宇) is a Hong Kong television actor. Michael entered the entertainment industry during the early 1980's under TVB, and later 1997 jumped over to ATV.

-During his time on TVB, he earned the title  "Housewife Killer" due to his overwhelming popularity amongst housewives (who arguably constitutes a majority of television viewing audiences in Hong Kong), solidifying his position as a first tier television actor in TVB.
-TVB had problems with their contract with Michael so he left and went to ATV
-Michael's ATV series Flaming Brothers successfully defeated the TVB rival show at the time, a landmark for ATV. -He also acted in mainland China and Singapore. 
-He returned to TVB in 2004 and has starred in a number of television series since. Once again, problems with his contract resulted in Tao leaving TVB in 2009.
