iKON MEMBERS | South Korea is the home of talented and handsome boyband. From Sechs Kies to BtoB, South Korea has spreaded the hallyu wave around the world. Meet iKON, a South Korean boy group under YG Entertainment, which is formed in 2015. This group was formed as the resut of reality survival program entitled “WIN: Who is Next as Team B” and was firstly introduced as Team B in 2014. According to the CEO of YG Entertainment, the name iKON derived from word “icon”. Since he wants this boy group to be the icon of South Korea, the letter “C” was changed into “K”.

The group consists of 7 members, they are B.I, Bobby, Jinhwan, Ju-ne, Yunhyeong, Donghyuk, and Chanwoo. Ikon began their charm invasion through their debut album in 2015, entitled “Welcome Back”. This album stood on the top of Korean album chart and was sold more than 260.000 copies in Asia. The songs in the album have led them to several awards like Mnet Asian Music Awards, QQ Music Awards and Japan Record Award. The last award is the first time in seven years for a Korean artist, to prove having such a big popularity in Japan.

In the beginning of 2018, they announced their comeback by releasing their second studio album, entitled “Return”. They have been internationally recognized. iKON has already held fan meetings in Japan and China.
