- In 1992, Sun Yaowei’s classmates made a song in the Chinese University of Hong Kong Songwriting Competition. They invited him to sing. He won the grand prize and won the "Youth Star International Music Competition" in Taiwan during the summer vacation. 
-Sun Yaowei led the team "Firefly" with the original song " "Landing Night" entered the competition and won the Merit Award, attracting record companies to sign. 
-In 1992, he made his debut as a part-time Taiwanese singer as a top student of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and became popular with the song " It's nice to know you ". The second record album " I Know You Are Waiting for Me " was released, and Sun Yaowei gained the reputation of "Four Little Heavenly Kings in Hong Kong".
