ABOUT

Beyond was a very famous Hong Kong rock band formed in 1983. This boy band became prominent in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Mainland China, and Overseas Chinese communities. At their prime they were widely considered as the most successful and influential Cantopop band from Hong Kong. The leader Wong Ka Kui was in Tokyo, Japan in 1993, doing a show where he fell off the stage with actor Teruyoshi Uchimura. Ka Kui sustained massive head injuries and died a week later, at the age of 31. The band continue to move forward, but by 2005 the remaining three members moved on to do solo careers and officially disbanded.

TRIVIA

-Wong Ka Kui was the leader and main songwriter. 
-Paul Wong replaced Wong Ka Kui as the main songwriter after Ka Kui's death. 
He, along with Wong Ka Keung, Yip Sai Wing have been responsible for lead vocals since Wong Ka Kui's death.
