Gao Shiqi united with Mingzhu against Suo'etu, Yisang'a and others, and a fierce quarrel erupted without saying a few words. The courtroom of the Ministry of Punishment was in chaos, and it had become a arena for the officials of the six ministries. Kangxi was furious when he heard this, and finally couldn't bear it anymore, kicked over the tables and chairs, scolded all the ministers, and then left angrily.

When Suo'etu returned to the mansion that night, he berated his confidants for not arguing with Mingzhu, so that he fell into Mingzhu's trap. But everyone has no choice. After all, Mingzhu's words allude to the prince. If the prince is really exposed, the foundation of the country may be shaken, and the status of the crown prince will be unstable. Thinking that this incident aroused Kangxi's vigilance, Suo'etu regretted that he should have made plans earlier, and his mood was instantly heavy.

In May of the forty-second year of Kangxi, Suo'etu colluded with the prince to seek power and usurp the throne to no avail, but was impeached and reported by Gao Shiqi. Kangxi ordered Suo'etu to be imprisoned until his death in September of the same year. However, these are all things to say, at this moment Mingzhu and Gao Shiqi are still unable to protect themselves, despite their bold words and ambitions, they would rather die than pull Suo'etu from his horse.

The next day, Gao Shiqi went to ask Xu Qianxue why he disregarded his brotherhood and harmed Zhongliang for his own benefit. Now seeing his real ugly face, he just felt sad and hateful. Gao Shiqi warned Xu Qianxue to take himself as a lesson, the emperor can make him shine in front of all officials, and also make him fall into prison and wait for death in despair. No one can be favored forever.

Xu Qianxue knew it well, and quickly asked Gao Shiqi what countermeasures he had. Unexpectedly, Gao Shiqi suggested to let him speak well for himself in front of the emperor. Realizing the real intention of Gao Shiqi's visit, Xu Qianxue's attitude changed suddenly, he brought up the old things again, and ridiculed him in various ways, and the old brothers fell out completely.

Taking advantage of Gao Shiqi's bribery of the little eunuch, Kangxi specially performed a scene for Suo'etu to kill a chicken for the monkey to watch. The little eunuch was summoned in front of Kangxi, lying on the ground trembling, and truthfully confessed that he accepted Gao Shiqi's little golden bean to honor his mother at home.

Originally, the little eunuch was begging Kangxi to save his mother's life with the heart of death. Kangxi read him for the sake of his filial piety, and did not make any punishment, but let him go out of the palace to support his mother. After the little eunuch left, Kangxi ordered Liang Jiugong to pass the oral instructions to Gao Shiqi, and then insinuated Suo'etu.

However, Suo'etu pretended to be confused, knowing that Kangxi was warning him, but he still shifted the topic to Gao Shiqi and Mingzhu. On the other hand, Liang Jiugong delivered the oral instructions truthfully, thinking that Gao Shiqi likes to play tricks, at most he can be regarded as learned and talented, and he is by no means a strange person, so the Qing Dynasty had him as icing on the cake, and it would still be able to function without him.

It was also because of Kangxi's words that Gao Shiqi suddenly realized that he was playing too smart after all, obviously forgetting who is the real son of heaven, sitting on the throne and ruling all living beings. Gao Shiqi went to Mingzhu all night and reminded Mingzhu that if there were officials placed beside Suo'etu, these people would ruthlessly join him and Mingzhu.

Kangxi took into account that Jin Fu was a loyal minister of the country. Although he was exploited without knowing it, and he could not escape the crime of oversight, but the merits and demerits outweighed each other, he dismissed Jin Fu from his post. Liang Jiugong felt unbelievable after reading the imperial edict, and persuaded Jin Fu to save his life, so he should make plans for himself.

Jin Fu still missed Jin Fu who was still under house arrest, and knelt outside the palace gate to beg to see the emperor, completely ignoring the criticisms of civil and military officials. Liang Jiugong reported to Kangxi that Gao Shiqi returned home last night, but after a long time, he dismissed the servants and wrote a couplet. Kangxi decided to let Gao Shiqi go back to his hometown, and Mingzhu was handed over to the guards to keep him from death penalty.

For many days, Kangxi could not avoid Jin Fu. Jin Fu met Suo'etu on his way back, hoping that he could tell Kangxi that if he killed such a great talent as Chen Huang, even the emperor would be unable to escape. History is like iron. Suo'etu failed to persuade Jin Fu, and listening to Jin Fu's words, he couldn't help but fell into deep thought.
