Xue Fangfei proposed a two-pronged solution and threatened the hall master to recognize her as Jiang Li. The hall master is worried about Jiang Li's death and is afraid that the Zhennu Hall will be held accountable by the Prime Minister. Xue Fangfei said that in the decades since Jiang Li came to the Virgin Hall, no one knew her appearance, and they could hide it. The hall master suspected that Xue Fangfei had other motives. Xue Fangfei deliberately said that she could enjoy the glory because of her status as the prime minister's daughter, in order to dispel the hall master's concerns. The hall master agreed to her proposal and arranged for her to leave seclusion after seven days of training.

Tong'er heard the conversation between the two and mistakenly thought that Xue Fangfei wanted to assume Jiang Li's identity. Xue Fangfei and Tong'er buried Jiang Li and spread her favorite pear blossoms to cover the soil. Tong'er took out a dagger and wanted to kill Xue Fangfei, accusing her of being ungrateful.

After the two got entangled, Xue Fangfei grabbed the dagger and persuaded Tong'er to calm down. She revealed her plan, wanting to live in Jiang Li's place, clear Jiang Li's grievances, and let those who bullied Jiang Li be punished. Tong'er was panicked for a moment and felt that Xue Fangfei's words were indeed reasonable, so the two went back to discuss it in detail.

During the training period, Tong'er was responsible for teaching Xue Fangfei's "Girls' Commandments". The hall master came to check on her every now and then and praised Xue Fangfei for her good work. Xue Fangfei accidentally saw the hall master hanging a lantern, and learned from Tong'er that the lanterns were hung to warn everyone in the hall to behave themselves. It was rumored that there was a female ghost haunting the mountain, and no one dared to travel at night.

Xue Fangfei did not believe in evil, so she followed the hall master at night and found that the lanterns she hung were high and low. She suspected that the hall master hung up the lanterns to have a tryst with his lover outside. In order to confirm her idea, she took advantage of the time when she went out to chop wood to observe, and found that as long as she hung a high lantern, she could see the Helin Temple opposite Privet Hall.

It happened to be the Mid-Moon Dharma Ceremony, and Mrs. Liu of the Prime Minister's Office was coming to stay at Privet Hall. The master of the hall specially ordered people to clean up, hoping to give Mrs. Liu a good experience. Knowing from Tong'er that Mrs. Liu was a good friend of Jiang Li's mother, Ye Zhenzhen, Xue Fangfei thought this was a good opportunity to go out. She asked Tong'er to hurt herself and deliver the hairpin to Mrs. Liu, hoping that Mrs. Liu would make the decision for her. Tong'er couldn't bear it, but she still followed Xue Fangfei's request and whipped her body, creating the illusion of years of abuse.

Xiao Heng followed Mr. Qin to Privet Hall. Mr. Qin wanted to escape, but Wen Ji and Lu Ji blocked both the front and back doors. He held Xue Fangfei hostage with a knife, hoping to use this as an excuse to let Xiao Heng let him go. After listening to the conversation between several people, Xue Fangfei learned that the person in front of her was Xiao Heng. She deliberately said that she and Mr. Qin were accomplices in selling illicit salt, so that Mr. Qin could relax his vigilance.

Mr. Qin was caught and accidentally took off Xue Fangfei's veil, and his true face was seen by Xiao Heng and others. Wen Ji felt that Xue Fangfei looked familiar, and Xue Fangfei remembered that she had seen Xiao Heng on the street. Xiao Heng remembered her appearance and asked her if her surname was Xue, but Xue Fangfei denied it. Xue Fangfei asked Xiao Heng to take her back to the capital for interrogation. Xiao Heng knew that she was acting and wanted to see her next move.

Tong'er attracted Madam Liu and happened to see Xue Fangfei being tied up by Xiao Heng. Madam Liu couldn't make the decision and went to the hall master for help herself. The hall master was sleeping soundly. When she opened her eyes, she found her lover kissing her. Before she could react, the lover hugged her in his arms. The master of the hall was worried about being discovered, so he quietly looked outside the door and saw no movement, then he indulged in unrestrained love with his lover.

Mrs. Liu and the virgins came to the hall master's wing and heard strange noises in the house. Mrs. Liu pushed the door open and saw the hall master and the man behaving indecently. Madam Liu was angry and tied the two of them up and brought them to Xiao Heng. The hall master argued that he had been framed, but she didn't know that Xue Fangfei had hung up the lantern in advance. She had long discovered that the hall master had a flirtatious scent and deliberately lured her lover into being raped by Liu. Madam bumped into her.

Mrs. Liu reported the matter to the court, and her husband Liu Yuanfeng mentioned it in a memorial. Emperor Hong Xiao was listening to a memorial in the court hall. Jiang Yuanbai was accused by Li Zhongnan of repairing the tomb of Empress Dowager Xia, and the two had a dispute. Both Liu Yuanfeng and Xiao Heng mentioned the Virgin Hall incident. Emperor Hong Xiao was very angry and asked Xiao Heng to investigate thoroughly, which made Jiang Yuanbai think of his daughter Jiang Li.

Jiang Yuanbai told Ji Shuran about the matter, worried that Jiang Li's incident would disgrace the Jiang family's reputation in Zhongshu Ling. Ji Shuran pretended to take Jiang Li back in glory. Jiang Yuanbai was very moved and praised her for her magnanimity and regardless of past grudges.

Xue Fangfei had already planned the trick, and she was taken back to the capital for interrogation by Xiao Heng. Xiao Heng did not touch a hair on her, knowing that she was being used by her, and asked Wen Ji to take Tong'er back to take care of her. Xue Fangfei asked to see the hall master and others, reminding them to keep secret about Jiang Li, otherwise Jiang Xiangguo and the court would not bypass their murder.
