Lu Shijun wounded Li Simin in the sneak attack, and was rescued by Gu Yuan. Gu Yuan also learned that the person who killed his parents was Heilong. Chief Inspector Li Han arrested Gu Yuan for accountability and asked him to explain Li Simin's identity. Gu Yuan was also dismissed and detained. Kang Yichen rescued Chen Mo by using the trick of turning the tiger away from the mountain. Gu Yuan and Kang Yichen arranged for Li Simin to recuperate in the Beggar Gang, and continued to investigate the Japanese's plan of using the marathon.
