Renascence 凤唳九天 Episode 9

This episode starts with in a nightmare -Ye Hongyi embracing the pregnant Yao Moxin who is wearing all white. They were smiling at each other. Ye Junqing suddenly walked in, Yao Moxin's ground was covered with blood, and Ye Hongyi was holding a knife in his hand, and Ye Junqing fell in a pool of blood. Ye Hongyi was awakened from the nightmare covered with sweat in his throne. The eunuch was worried, and Ye Hongyi sighed that the Supreme Family had left one after another. Only Ye Junqing was left, but he was born in the royal family and could not help himself.

Then news of Ye Junqing being injured in a fire spread through the palace. Before Ye Hongyi found out the truth, Concubine Shu and Yao Suluan both came in one after another to ask about the event and to bicker with one another. Ye Hongyi got up and go to Prince Su's Mansion. 

Mowan while applying medicine on Ye Junqing burnt shoulder, scolded him for not answering her question about his feeling toward her. She said he shouldn't have gone in to save her, because he could have died. She told him she made a pact and that no matter what happen in the future, that they will survive and save their own lives to see each other. He asked her why was she there, she didn't answer, so he dragged her down and she fell into his lap. They looking into one another eyes and was about to kiss, but Jinyi walked in on them and stopped them. Ben Fei said don't worry to Mowan cuz she is Ye Junqing's woman. Yao Mowan wondered why Yao Moxin chose Ye Hongyi back then. Ben Lei said he only felt that it was destiny. Back then, Ye Junqing was willing to abandon the country and show his heart to Yao Moxin in the rain. But because of the misunderstanding of the lantern festival mask, Yao Moxin wrongly promised Ye Hongyi her heart. Ye Junqing saved Moxin's life but the two brothers were wearing the same outfit and wore the same mask that day. He wanted to tell Yao Moxin that the person who really saved her at the Lantern Festival was himself. Unexpectedly, Ye Hongyi ran over wearing a wedding outfit, and said that the wife he really wanted was Yao Moxin. It was impossible for his father the emperor arrange a marriage for him and Moxin's older sister. Hongyi said he only loves Moxin and that she will only be in his heart. He asked Ye Junqing to let go of Moxin. Yao Moxin was moved and agreed. In this way, Ye Junqing handed over Yao Moxin to Ye Hongyi. After Yao Mowan heard this story, she didn't know why she felt sad. She said it was a joke made from Heaven.Ben Fei said that since that day Ye Junqing changed.  Ben Fei after the empress, she was the only woman who was able to enter into Ye Junqing's heart.

Han Jinyi helped Ye Junqing to open up various bandits in the world, forming an intelligence network covering Da Chu, and inquiring into evidence of the Dou family's embezzlement and wealth. It was found that Dou had used water transportation to exchange money with the border, and most of the officials along the road had been bought off. Ye Junqing was very angry, and his big soldiers charged and killed the enemy, but let the treacherous officials brutally kill him, trying to stop the Dou clan. The two discussed how to find out, so that Dou Shi could be wiped out. Ye Junqing proposed to investigate from the capital and get the detailed accounts of Dou's corruption, so that he could catch the turtle in the urn and take it in one fell swoop.

Han Jinyi worried that Ye Hongyi would be unfavorable to Ye Junqing and reminded Ye Junqing to be very careful. If it weren't for the night with Yao Moxin, Ye Junqing must have been on the throne of the emperor that year. Ye Junqing has always been with the people from beginning to end, and he has the appearance of Mingjun. Ye Junqing interrupted Han Jinyi and told him not to say such things anymore, saying that he could save himself. Yao Mowan secretly heard the conversation between the two outside the door, wondering what else happened that night that would allow the country to change hands.

Yao Mowan was outside eavesdropping on Ye Yunqing and Han Jinyi. Through their chat, she heard a secret about Ye Yunqing loosing his chance to be emperor because of a night with Moxin. Suddenly, the King came walking toward Je Yunqing's room. Mowan stop the king from entering because he didn't want the king to know who was in the room with Ye Yunqing. The king took Mowan for a walk and asked her about what happen. She said someone set the place on fire to stop her from investigating. The king and Mowan chit chatted for bit. Mowan asked the king why dont the brother both wear their heart on their sleeves. The king said it's because they are of royal blood.

The Dou siblings discuss about how Mowan and Ye Junqing  surrived

The king steps in to see Ye Yunqing and said that his brother risked his life to save Mowan. The king said he will let Mowan become Ye Yunqing's main wife, but he said no he should give him some time. Then, the king order the his servant to give ye Yunqing some medicine to drink.He drank it and the king left.Then Mowan rushed in and scolded Ye Yunqing about refusing to let the king set their wedding.They both bicker, and Mowan left.

Mowan was out walking and Han Jinyi up to hear and they talked. Then they both headed to the Supreme Court to investigate, but the guards wouldn't let them in. They went in secretly by jumping up on the roof. Mowan was able to find some evidence. She had to go into the royal prison. She got in by punching the guard in the eye.

Mean while, Ye Junqing was home looking at Moxin's picture. Ben Lei back and they had a talk. Ye Yunqing said he will ask the king to let him retire and live a free man, and that he will ask Mowan to go with him if she would like. Ben Lei said that the late empress would like to see that from Heaven. Just then Jinyin reported that Mowan went into the prison. Je Yunqing headed straight to see Mowan.

Mowan was able to talk to one of the prisoners by giving him her food, but that food was poisoned. The prisoner died, the guards quickly removed his body.
