Renascence 凤唳九天 Episode 14

Yao Mowan remembered Duan Tingting's visit to Guanju Palace during the day, and guessed that it was her who was responsible for placing Yinshexiang in her room and that got all the snakes into her room. However, in order to preserve Duan Tingting, Yao Mowan said that she did not know. Ye Hongyi suspects that Yao Mowan entered the palace to for other reason- perhaps to help Ye Junqing in some way.

Ye Junqing's sneaks into concubine Shu's bedroom, suspecting that she was responsible for attracting the snakes. She told him it was not her, he believed her and got on his knee to ask her to help Mowan. She promised Ye Junqing to help Mowan but he has to do one thing for her in exchange. Concubine Shu found it was indeed Tingting who did the crime. She asked Hanyue and borrowed her family's foreign secretary and made another one of a less known concubine died and be Mowan's escapegoat. Yao Mowan was surprised that Concubine Shu saved herself for no reason.

Ye Hongyi found out the truth and set up a banquet for Yao Mowan. He invited all the concubines and Ye Junqing to attend, hoping that Ye Junqing would often go to the palace to accompany him. At the banquet, it was said that Yao Mowan danced beautifully, with the demeanor of Yao Moxin back then. Ye Hongyi suggested that Yao Mowan come out to perform the dance, accompanied by Concubine Shu. Ye Junqing was drunk and offered to dance a sword for fun.Ye Junqing walked on Mowan and he was drunk. He asked her if she has a hidden reason for doing what she is doing. She told him Mowan that loved him died alread. The servant locked them both inside the room, then went to tell the king some lies about not knowing where Mowan went.  Ye Junqing told her to blame everything on him, but she said no. The king chopped open the door to find Mowan passed out on the floor alone. Then Ye Junqing walked in afterwards. He said he was outside walking around.

Yao Mowan knew that she was being framed, and deliberately injured her forehead in advance, so that Ye Junqing left to go out in the secret road. She snuggled in Ye Hongyi's arms and complained, saying that she was stunned by the maid after entering the room. Ye Hongyi said she would never let Yao Mowan be wronged. Ye Hongyi guessed that someone wanted to frame Ye Junqing and Yao Mowan, and put a little bit of caution on them.

Ye Junqing returned to the room and took out the sachet in the box, wondering why Yao Mowan knew the secret road in the room. After Ye Hongyi left, Han Jinyi came to Yao Mowan's room and arranged for her to meet with the hidden guard. He gave Mowan a jaded flute saying that she can use it to call Yin Xue for help. She will immediately appeared in the room when she heard the sound of the jade flute. She tried it and Yin Xue appeared immediately. As long as Yao Mowan needs it, Yin Xue can appear, and the dragon will not see her. Mowan thanked Han Jinyi. 

Ling Feng reported to Ye Junqing that a batch of black powder had disappeared from the army. It was heard that Dou Shiming had just taken over the military depot, and such a mistake appeared. This time there were only a small amount of black powder missing, but every time black powder was shipped in the past, the number would be a little less. Jun Xiu was willing to take responsibility alone.Then he told Mowan that it was her sister Suluan that said Mowan gave her the evidence to prove that the two had an affair. Suluan told the Cai Fei that it was all set up by Mowan and that Mowan is two faced.

Yao Suluan went to see Concubine Shu, and wants to join forces with Concubine Shu to deal with Yao Mowan. Yao Mowan deliberately released the news of her close friendship with Cai Fei, Shu asked what does she gets out of helping her, she told her that they both don't like Mowan. Joining forces will help bring down Mowan. Concubine Shu came upon Hongyi and Sulan, just as Mowan comes walking in. Mowan said she made the king some soup, and the king said why not we all enjoy your soup. Suluan said she didn't want any but Mowan insisted. Mowan said you seen this pendant, Concubine Shu said it was Hong Fei's. Mowan said Hong Fei dropped his pendant when he saved Mowan from being bit by a dog. That was Suluan's dog. Concubine Shu said she indeed saw the dog bit Mowan and Hong Fei was there to save Mowan that day. Then Suluan got piss and grabbed Mowan's hand. That is when Concubine Shu expose Mowan's arm to show the dog bites. The king got mad and said she must get rid of that dog asap.
