As of November 1st, 2022 there are currently 156 people who have died due to the tragic Halloween incident that took place on Saturday in Itaewon, South Korea. We pray for those who have been affected by this horrible event.
On October 29, 2022, there was a Halloween festival taking place in the Itaewon neighborhood of Seoul, South Korea. Itaewon is a popular multi-cultural commercial area. After 2 years of Covid-19 restrictions, crowds of people eagerly gathered near pubs in the narrow alleyways to participate in Halloween festivities in costume. There were over 10,000 people, leaving little to no breathing space for each person. Soon enough, a dominos effect took place causing a terrible crowd crush to happen.
