K-pop idol Kang Daniel was recently diagnosed with depression and suffers from mental health issues. The South Korean celebrity will be taking a break away from the entertainment arena and focus solely on recuperation. Kang's agency, Konnect Entertainment, released a statement on December 4, 2019, that Kang was "diagnosed with depression and panic disorder" and that he "recently expressed more severe symptoms of anxiety." They have cancelled his upcoming performance on MBC Music's Show Champion and all other scheduled activities for the the future.
