On June 13, 2022, Chongqing Liyan Culture Media Co., Ltd., which is an affiliate of Crystal Yuan 袁冰妍's ( Yuan Bingyan) was fined 978,000 RMB-yuan for tax evasion. Crystal Yuan is well known for her leading role in the tv drama "Love and Redemption". Crystal's studio has written an apology on July 4th stating that all relevant taxes have been paid in full.
There are rumors that she will be replaced on all upcoming projects with other female leading actresses. Most notably a role where she is playing second lead next to Yang Mi, "Fox Fairy Little Matchmaker". Her endorsement brands are already dropping her.
