Twenty-eight-year-old Abby Choi Tin-Fung, an influencer and model, was reported missing on February 21, 2023. Abby is a mother to four children, two with ex-husband and two with her current partner. She was later found to have been murdered by her ex-husband Alex Kwong and former in-laws.

The Hong Kong police confiscated a hammer, face shields, black raincoasts, meat cleavers used in the homicide, as well as Abby's purple handbag and ID's from the Tai Po flat. Police also found two cooking pots containing her skull, along with several of the victim's ribs. Abby's legs were found inside the fridge. A search party conducted a three-day scavenging effort at Ta Kwu Ling landfill following footage of suspects having disposed some bags out to the trash. Even with wide public exposure, Abby's torso and hands, clothing and other evidence are still missing.

Her twenty-eight-year-old former husband Alex Kwong, ex-father-in-law Kau Kwong, former brother-in-law Anthony Kwong, and sixty-three-year-old Jenny Li were all arrested for being their involvement in Choi's murder.  Alex and his family appeared in court on February 28, 2023. The three men are charged with murder while Jenny was charged with perverting the course of justice. All family members were denied bail by Kowloon City Magistrates' Court; the case will adjourned in May 8, 2023.

The fifth suspect Ng, a 47 year old female, has been arrested for aiding and abetting to murder. She is suspected of helping Alex evade the police. Ng rented her flat in West Kowloon for Alex to hide from being arrested.

A sixth person named Lam was arrested on suspicion of also being accessory to the murder, because he works at the pleasure boat rental business and tried to collect money to help Alex escape by sea.

The seventh person, a twenty-nine-year-old female friend of Alex, was arrested for helping to arrange a boat for Alex to escape from the law.
