Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so bad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so bad

Back when I was 17 in 2011
I left my home with any hesitation, I left it all behind me
Got a one-way ticket and three suitcases on July 3rd
Nothing in my pocket, only my dream for music
Unsure if I could relieve my parent's worries
This bet ain't got no preview
My parents were really worried but they help packed my bags anyways
Then there goes a whole new chapter in my life
I would never tell my parents about the lows
Feeling horrible especially when I know I wasn't good enough
But I'm fine, no worries, all good, I'm not lonely
Is what I always tell my parents
Because it's just the way we do it as their kids

No matter where I am
No matter how far I go
No matter where I am
I will never forget a single second of all these
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad

I remember
Being homesick, seeking for some hometown food
I found a place at the exit of KONKUK UNIVERSITY Metro Station Line 2
I was following the map wandering around
Until I heard a familiar language in front of a restaurant
I went in and I ordered a fried rice
It was a simple dish but I felt really happy
I was also talking to the owner lady and when I was almost done eating
She gently patted my head and told me don't worry about the bill
She was saying "must be tough to be here all alone at such a young age".
She turned to the kitchen and asked the chef to add a few more extra fried eggs to my bowl
And on the way home, tears fell down upon my eyes
The weather was really cold but my heart felt the warmest that day

No matter where I am
No matter how far I go
No matter where I am
Will never forget where it all started
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad

TEAM WANG records on repeat in your earphones
Biting on cookies collections, witnessing the four pandas in this story
I am still me
Looking up at a 45 degree angle, I am still going for the same dream
I was holding on to a fencing sword and it became a microphone now
And no matter where I go, I always say
Jackson Wang from China cuz This is my home

Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad

This is my story, tell me about yours?
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad
When you get used to it, it ain't so sad
(Not so sad)
