No matter how turbulent the outside world is, Cheng Shaoshang is still at ease in the Changqiu Palace, and the deep palace is like a solid protective wall, blocking all malicious or well-intentioned rumors for her. Although Cheng Shaoshang tried her best to resist, she was still weaker than Luo Jitong, who had been in the northwest for many years and built up her strength. Just as they were fighting, Huo Bu Yi appeared racing toward them in a horse, and in order to protect Cheng Shaoshang, he clenched the sharp blade with his bare hands and let the blood flow freely from his wound. He stared toward the front where a cliff was near, Huo Bu Yi Fei got into the carriage and pulled the reins. He couldn't stop the carriage from going over the cliff, he grabbed Cheng Shaoshang and jumped out. While Luo Jitong and the carriage fell off the cliff. Huo Bu Yi had one hand gripping onto the rocks on the cliff while the other hand holding onto Cheng Shaoshang's hand. The two avoided falling off the cliff, but they were in a very deadly position. Huo Bu Yi was clearly able to fly up by himself with a bit of effort but he refused to give up Cheng Shaoshang. Cheng Shaosang seeing the wound on Huo Bu Yi and their current situation she requested him to leave her behind. He simply said what he had hidden in his heart. Since he and Cheng Shaoshang were allies five years ago, he has regarded Cheng Shaoshang as his wife. He said if she dies he dies and if she lives he lives. He stated that he would never live on if she was not there.

Cheng Shaoshang was moved, and before she could speak, the Liang brothers hurried over, and then rescued them using vines to make a rope. Just when Huo Bu Yi was about to send someone to take Cheng Shaoshang back, someone ran over with news that Emperor Wen had summoned the two to return to the palace quickly, and Empress Xuan might not be able to survive today because of her critical illness.
